WORK: Book Launch @ The Grubstreet Author

MOLA Luxe’s full event management service helps Gillian McMichael launch her new book in London

Following on from the success of her Edinburgh book launch, which MOLA Luxe also managed, Wellness expert and coach Gillian McMichael enlisted our help to host another book launch event in London.
The release of her debut book, ‘Coming Home: A Guide To Being Your True Self’ was originally given a launch event in Edinburgh, while this companion event hosted at The Grubstreet Author in London was an opportunity for her more southern followers to join in the celebration.

The Grubstreet Author was an apt choice of venue as it is situated in an area that was renowned for bohemian writers and industrial print houses, and has elements of this history peppered throughout the event spaces.

Part one of the event - a book reading, interview and guest Q&A - was hosted in the Pasteur Room, an intimate space with plenty of character (above), while the second part of the event - drinks, delectable canapes, DJ-led music and photo ops were situated in the adjacent Sample Room (below).

Guests were encouraged to network and meet the author while a selection of gourmet savoury and sweet canapes was served. Each attendee was also given a gift bag containing a signed copy of the book and treats from Gillian’s own products including affirmation cards.

MOLA Luxe provided full planning, management and logistics including supplier management and on-the-day event coordination as well as the printing, décor, gift bag, venue and catering elements.
