VENUE SPOTLIGHT: BMA House

MOLA Luxe explores BMA House’s elegant event spaces

Tucked away behind a gate on Tavistock Square lies an imposingly grand house, which you could easily miss if you weren’t aware of its placement. The Grade II listed building’s eye-catching courtyard is the precursor to a myriad of rooms and outdoor spaces available for hire, which we visited last week.

Although there are many standard meeting rooms, there are few spaces that truly stand out at BMA House. We were first shown to The Prince’s Room (above) filled with grand fireplaces, period features, and pastel yellow and gold details, which still feel neutral enough to suit the majority of event types, although private dinners, small receptions and gatherings would probably be the most ideal.

The Great Hall was next up, a much larger offering with imposing pillars, a grided ceiling design and more period features that ensure the room has a grand and regal feel to it. Although it can be used for conferences (above) it would also easily suit larger receptions and dining galas (below).

We were also shown the bright & airy Snow Room, aptly coloured white, which is an inviting space for weddings and private ceremonies. Leading directly onto the Courtyard, the two spaces hired together would also make an impressive space for summer parties.

Lastly, we were taken to another of the outdoor spaces - The Garden. Ideal for summer drinks, the area epitomises a classic English garden with a large pond and a small waterfall fountain. An early evening prosecco and canapes would go down a treat here.
